Target dot & gophers?

I am looking at purchasing a Weaver V16 with the target dot to put on a very accurate CZ American 22lr that I have.

I would use it as dual purpose gopgers/punching paper rifle.

Anyone using target dot for gophers? Wondering if it would be too small in the field. Thanks.

"...too small in the field..." May be too big. Mind you, Weaver indicates an MOA dot on cross hairs. That'll do nicely. Just ignore the dot.

I'd wanna see the dot first, dots hide gophers at long range (if the dot is too big), at 200yds. 1moa. (approx.2.2") would more then cover an upright gopher.
