Target Load?

I just picked up my first 12 guage, a Mossberg 500, and am looking to build up a stockpile of ammo. Shells seem to be around $1 and up per, but theres a lot of "Target Load" deals for a 250 lot for around $60. I cant seem to find any info on the difference... Why is target load so cheap...will they still kill a zombie?

Don't use target loads on zombies, it just makes them really mad.
Target loads are great for target shooting

Typically a target load will have less powder ( < 3 drams equivalent) and smaller shot size, 7.5, 8, or 9.

I don't get bruises from target loads. About half the kick?

You can use target loads to shoot targets, clay pigeons and small game or small birds like grouse. Anything bigger than that you will need bigger loads. If you are shooting pheasants you might want to use #6 and if you want to shoot ducks or geese then you need anything from #5 to #1.
