I like to know what is the difference between Williams Peep Sight and Anschuts Peep Sight. Whick one is better ? Thanks.

Anschutz, hands down!

The Williams is lighter and not as accurate, and the Anschutz will accept an adjustasble iris, I don't knopw if the Williams will....

A decent target sight should have an easy and repeatable means to adjust for wind , light condtions and disatnce. Ever see or heard of anyone using a Williams recently in international competetion? it has its uses to replace original iron hunting sights, but it's not a target sight.

They did make half decent ones over 20-30 years ago, but not recently and never as good as they should have been.

Look for Anschutz, Gehmann, Walther, Centra, RPA, Gruenig

What sort of rifle are you talking about? Caliber? Do you need a serious competition sight, or are you looking for a quality sight for a sporting rifle?

I am going to buy a Walther target .22 rifle. It has a Williams peep sight and I want to kknow how good it its.

What aboyt a Lyman?
Some opf the Lymans are okay for a sporting rifle, and the Redfield International is a good sight ( seldom seen anymore , as is the Olympic)
, but for the best , you have to go with Diopter's list.
If I could find another set of Internationals at a good price I would buy them,
however.
For big bore TR rifles, Central, or Parker Hale are popular....

Anschutz .22 sights are often seen on ebay. Might give you an idea of costs. Mounting would be easy. Redfields usually require a base mounted on the left side of the receiver; don't know if your Walther is drilled and tapped for one. If you do use a Redfield, adjustable Merit eyepieces are available. Your best bet would likely be an Anschutz, or one of the other similar European unts.
