target turrets hard to turn

i recently picked up a bushnell fixed 10x with tactical turrets and the elevation turret is hard to turn especialy when i get it cranked right down.
when i first got it it was almost impossible to turn.
anyone experience this before and if so how do i correct it?

Proceed at your own risk, but I had the same problem with the same scope, and applied a small amount of thin oil (penetrating oil might work) at the joint between the turret and scope body and that fixed it.

remove the scope knobs and use Vaseline on the rubber friction ring on the mounting shaft that works on the 3 I use

Vaseline may have a tendency to degrade the o-rings.

Then use astroglide, it's made for o-rings.
