I use my hunting rifle for target shooting in the off season, like many others. I've been shooting a homemade target for a few years and it's ok but I'd like to know what targets would be used in a competetion. I shoot a 308 at 100, 200 and 300 yards. Maybe further in the future, but the local range is 300 yards.

Well, figure 11's,12's,12c's and 14's are common.I've shot IPSC targets, shaped steel targets,hostage/perp. targets and just about anything else you can imagine.

How's about life sized animal targets, and clays out to whatever you normally shoot.
Personally, my hunting rifles don't shoot at military type targets, but my long branch does when I shoot service rifle competition.
I also shoot silhouettes , they are shot from 200 to 500 meters and the center is just about 2MOA.
Chicken at 200, pig at 300, turkey at 385 and ram at 500.1 shot at each silhouette, five animals per station, two goarounds makes a score of 40.
