does any one no what steel you can and carnt make targets out of

ie for shot gun use from 7 - 40 meters

for pistol 7- 50 meters

and 223/308 rifle 25m to 300
 
Don't go with mild, but use T1 and a minimum of 3/8" thick.

No rifle closer than 50yds if using 3/8" thick, for closer use 7/16" or 5/8", but that's starting to get expensive.

FWIW use 10 yds as the minimum for pistol, because I've been hit by ricochets at closer ranges. 20 yds too.

i would love to just buy them but im in dunedin new zealand on the other side of the world bit to much $$$ to ship
 
AR400 from Russel metals. it costs a fortune.

i've used cutting edges from front end loader buckets. if you know someone that has heavy equipment or works for highways you can usually get used ones for free.
