Tasco 6X24 Varmint

For an inexpensive scope they are not too bad. I have had 1 on a 223 Tikka for many years, it was all I could afford at the time, the gun shoots so well I do not want to risk changing "ANYTHING"
I fellow I know had 1 on his 7 mag for a couple of years until he had the $$ for a Leupold, worker well for him.
They are not as crystal clear as some of the more expensive scope, but there are many worse scopes out there.

I bought one new and put it on my silhouette .22, it fell apart after less than a season of gentle use, the recticle jiggles about. I am dealing with thier customer service right now, thus far they have been far less than helpful. I would be careful...

If it's made in Japan, it's a good one. I had two of them I got from SWFA a couple years ago. A friend now has one and loves it, the other went to a guy in BC who put it on a 300 Win Mag long range rig. Haven't heard anything bad yet.
These are the ones with target knobs, screw in metal lense covers and 1/4" dot reticle.

Tasco

I have 8-32 tasco and within a month of having it the recticle began to move with the focus adjustment on the eye piece. The glass seems real good though for the price. It was built in Japan.

I have the 2.5-10 Varmint on my CZ and 10/22. IMO, they are pretty darn good for the money. A friend has the 6-24 on his 10/22 and I found it too dark for my liking. Haven't tried them on a centrefire rifle.

This may be a little off but when I was a kid (long, long ago) I saved up for and bought a Tasco microscope. It wasn't anything too fancy but not a toy store one either. Focusing a microscope is very touchy. Any movement up or down and it goes out of focus. That Tasco would creep down and go out of focus just from it's own weight. I was so pissed off with that thing I promised myself never to buy a Tasco anything again for the rest of my life. I still feel that way!

I've had one on my 10-22T for a few years with no trouble what-so-ever. Good scope for the money. I have also used them on a .243 and a 30-06 with l\no trouble, but have heard a few stories saying they do not stand up to repeated heavy recoil very well... great on the .22 though :)
