I was at a gun show today and made a bit of an impulse purchase: A spotting scope for $30. I figured at that price it wasn't much of a risk.
Bringing it home I've found out that its a Tasco 8TUR spotting scope that was released 1967/8 (courtesy of a flyer that I found inside the case -- incidentally the MSRP was $99.95 back then). It's a solid scope, all metal and goes from 20x60 to 60x60. I'm sure it's not as feature-laden and fancy as today's spotting scopes but it seems to be pretty capable. A search on the internet found absolutely nothing...anyone know anything about this scope?
