Tasco on Rem 700

Can't afford the Leup or S&B that I want at the moment, unless someone here wants to gift one to me.... (worth a shot, right? lol)

I recently acquired a Tasco 10-40x50mm with tactical turrets, and have since put it on, Im rearing to go to see how it works out.

Can this scope handle the punch of a .308 round?

(Does anybody have a sunshade for it, or a source online to get one?)

Dont waste your money on a sunshade. If a leupold of S&B (which are different price points all together) isnt in your budget, look at a Bushnell 3200 or 4200.

Im sure the tasco will be just find on a 308 but I wouldnt seriously expect o be able to see anything clearly through the scope past about 10 or 15x magnification.
