tasco red dots

i was thinking of grabbing a tasco red dot from crappy tire and was just wondering what you guys thought of the cheaper red dots are they worth it or should i just use my iron sights?

that was the first one i bought just to see how i liked them. worked pretty damn good for $50

I bought one from Lebaron for $35 for the .22lr
Works OK with newish batteries . Otherwise sun drowns out the dot even on brightest settings.

Same here...the sun drowns out the dot..may be okay for indoors though....

There's a reason military-grade optics are usually $400-up. But to each their own.

i have not had the sun issue yet but i have't been shooting in really bright areas

Heard at a gunshow...i think it was at a gunshow? ya it was, Bushnell belongs to Tasco.

Just letting you know. I have bushnells on my 10/22 and mini-14. red dots dont work well in the cold lol. great for shooting Bowling pins and cans
