Where can I price out one of these in either 10x-16x in Canada?

I am having trouble locating places with this scope. I hear it is a great scope for the price.

The only info you can find on the Super Sniper is from SWFA (www.riflescopes.com) They are the ones who make the SuperSniper. They will not ship to Canada...or internationally for that matter. That's why the cost is so good on these scopes. No middle men to go through jacking up the price. I currently own two. The 10x and the 16x. I wouldn't part with either of them. They're awesome. Rumer has it that they are coming out with a variable Super Sniper in 3 different magnifications all with side focus paralax. Cost will be a great deal higher though.

As Barks sayes no way of getting them shipped into Canada from SWFA. Occassionaly you see one for sale in the EE forum but usually way over priced. I have a 10x as well as a 16x not very likely that they will come up for sale. Optics are clear and adjustments are bang dead on. Adjustments in excess of 100 minutes so a 20 min. taper base is really not needed for 1000yd. zero. All I can say if you see one for under $500 used, jump on it as you will not regret the purchase.

Thanks.. Perhaps i'll have to take a trip down to the states then..

Question though. Hypothetically if I were to walk into a gun shop in the states, would I be asked for any paperwork? ID, drivers licence etc?

I know I would have to do a bunch of export paperwork, but hypothetically (not that I would ever do this) god forbid I carry it across the border with me in the car?

Or would questar be worth it? or do they even do that. From a gun shop in the states, or something. Or I could get a friend in the states to buy it, and send it to me as a "gift"

Hmm.. the possiblities are endless

Short answer. Don't do it.

Long answer. read the import/export threads in the Legalese section of this site. (Yes, gun parts includes scopes)

Yea I know all the legal stuff, just doing some hypothetical thinking thats all

Well, hypothetically speaking, they won't give a rat's behind as long as you have cash in your hand. After that, it's between you and your conscience. - dan

get it sent to someone you know in the states, and then get them to put birthday rap on it a bow and a card, and then rap that in brown paper and send it as a gift.

Works like a charm, I killed my conscience long ago so it never bothers me.

Of course, no one on this site would EVER contemplate doing such a thing as it would contravene US law, as well as CGN rules right!;) Just talking hypotheticals, otherwise you'd get your weenie rapped by a Mod here on good ol' GunNutz!:D

I contacted Epps in Orillia, and they will order them in, however they say it takes around 90 days to get them in.
Price is very reasonable.

No luck:( I enquired at Epps and they thought they might be able to get the Super Snipers BUT after they checked into it said that they can't get them either.

Other "tactical" scopes are comming into the country from the US, so I don't see why this one would be banned from export. You can get anything you want from the US that is not banned from export by the State Department. You just need to find a licenced exporter and have the scope sent to them or have them buy it. They will charge a fee for this and it will take a good chuck of time for the paperwork. I believe that Questar provides this service.
