Part of a package I bought included a scope, sold as new, attached to the rifle.
It is a 10X42 c/w 30 mm tube, identical in evey way to a Super Sniper 10X42mm. However the only difference is that it is labelled "Tasco" in white on the objective, as well as "10X42" in the same area.
It has the plain white box known to Super Sniper, except it has all the correct Tasco labelling. The manual is Tasco as well, with a publication date on the back cover of July 2000. All warentee cards and info was included, but date back to the aforementioed manual.
Now I do know that SWFA bought out the rights from Tasco, and continues to market the SuperSniper.
I guess my question is, could this have been picked up at a swap meet or estate sale, will the warentee still be ok, and does this unit have the same known reliabilitty as the Super Sniper?
Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
