Does anybody have experience with or use a Tasco Titan on their hunting rifle? I'm looking at the 1.5-6x42 version. I like the German #4A reticle and that seems like one of the affordable ways of having one. I've read a lot of negative stuff about Tasco in general, but have come across some positive reviews on their top-of-the-line Titan scopes. It'll be going on a .270 Win. Thanks!

I have two of them and am very happy. The Optics are very clear. On my 3-12-52, I don't like the clicks adjusments though, I think they're 1/2 '' and hardly trackable.

On the 3-9x44, with target turrets, they are very nice however. I would recommend. they are good for the price.

Not a thing wrong with a TITAN.I have had a 1.5-6 for 4yrs now and like it every bit as much as my Bauch&Lomb 3200 and my leupold VIII 1.5-5.Crystal clear and holds it zero throughout magnification range perfectly.

I have had a 1.5 -6 which I had to take back in for replacement when it went hell in a handbasket. The zero was drifting all over the place and cost me $40 in slugs. Bushnell was good though and replaced it on the spot for me with the exact model. The picture is clear and very bright with the big objective but the weight is high which I really don't favour. I did fair well with it this fall under some terrible weather conditions with rain and +2 evening when light was becoming low. I was able to respond quickly and aquire a doe running full tilt @ 90 yards across a feild and drop her with the leading shot through the spin and lung. I was generally pleased with its performance last year....now well see how it does this year???

Thanks for the input so far. The rifle it is going on is very light, so I don't think that weight will be an issue. I just want bang for the buck (don't we all) without breaking the bank. I don't mind paying more if required, but can't justify another $1000 on a scope. I also really like that German reticle.
