I have searched and read the debate threads about picking up a package at the postal outlet after Canada Post leaves a card but there was no mention of the timeline for a TATT in Ontario.

Many said it's just a package so pick it up. Others said to get a TATT to bring it from the Outlet to your home.

I am still confused but was wondering how long it takes to get a TATT in Ont if I do everything by the book?

My package is due late next week, should I call in and get a TATT on Monday for the due date or wait untill I have the card from Canada Post to know it is sitting there?

In short, how long does it take to get a TATT in Ont? Is it a verbal OK or do you have to wait for somthing in the mail?

Thanks,
Cactus

You don't even need them to fax it to you. All you need is the number. If you can get a hold of them they should be able to do it in a minute or two.

The TATT has to be for a specific time period so it's best to wait until you know it's there. They were kind enough to make mine for three days.

Thanks for clearing that up guys.

I will call them during the week and have them fax me the form. The postal outlet is a 5 minute drive away but IMO it's better to play it safe.

Booters is correct -all you need is the number. As he says - wait until you know it is there. They will give you the number over the phone. The person atthe CFC will tell you that
