Taurus 1911 Reviews

I had a blued PT1911 that ran ran like a top while I had it. They offer excellent value for money - one of the best, if not the best deal going for quality/features provided per dollar spent on a 1911.
I would not hesitate to buy another.

I had a stainless one a few years ago when they fist made it here. Forgot what I paid for it but it wasn't too expensive. It was a nice gun, but one thing I didn't like about it was the front grip saturation - they felt too sharp I fixed it by getting a wraparound grip. You see a lot of PT1911 owners use American Legend grips for that reason.

I had one that had an oval shaped chamber. The casing would not form a tight seal when expanding so I got powder and crap blowing back on my arms and face. The cases were oval shaped upon ejection. I could have got a new barrel but I was pissed off so I sold it for a Spartan and never looked back...
