Does anyone took a look on it in real life? How it's looks and feels? If shot one, how was it?

Does anyone knows any retailers who sell it? I'd like to go and check it out. :)

24/7 a great gun!

Hey KTO;

I have and carry a 24/7 in 45. Been carrying it for years. No problems, great gun. Probably 3,000 rounds through it. Great value. Gun of the year in 2004. I like the way it fits in my hand and that is key. Enjoyable to shoot and I highly recommend it.:) :) :)

Taurus has two other versions of the same. The millenium pro (sub-compact) and the long frame. Great thing about all of them is the mags work in all three and barrels will interchange. This is really cool because I can take the long frame barrel and thread it for my silencer then run it on my 24/7.   Of course I can only do this south of the 49th but it is really cool how much interchangeability there is.

I know that Target Sports Centre had a couple in their shop last time I was there to teach a class. They are great folks and we will be teaching our advanced force-on-force in spring there.;)

I've handled one in stainless a while ago at Shooters Choice (they stock Taurus guns); quality wize it seemed on a pair with Glock, XD if not better.

I found the grip a little small for my hand (prefer something of a 92FS, p226 size) But what I like about it is that it's 4in gun that is legal in Canada (OK it's actually 4.13"/106mm -- but the barrel is NOT extanded at all)

btw you can buy one for only $599 or $650 for stainless at P&D :)

Like Lugger says, they are presently at P-D with xlnt pricing. I know Gobels in e.Cda also carries them but at a higher cost and often lack of inventory. They are also introducing the OSS in springtime but it is on their website at present. A little bigger and not as visually appleaing according to some, but loaded with features.
Good luck
dB:)

I probably looked at the same one lugger did. The real full time double action is not a bad idea at all for a carry gun, fits the hand well, and seems well constructed. I wouldn't feel bad owning one.....

i've got a nine mil. and it works ok, like Dekard said it doesn't have ambi controls but I haven't seemed to have a problem shooting mine. I'll definately be keeping it.

Thank you, James. You covered my next question if it's good gun to carry in US.

Nice looking pistol....I take it the trigger pull is always the same length...always single action?

No, it's always the same length, double actioin. It feels like shooting a decent revolver every shot, and it has restrike capability, if it fails to fire, you could pull the trigger and try again, which guns like the xd and glock can't do. That being said, If I had a failure to fire, I'd be racking it out anyways but some like this feature.

I haven't tried the trigger on the 24/7 but I know that new models '24/7 Pro' are SA/DA IIRC older models are DAO. With Pro models I think it's jist like a regular SA/DA auto; first shot is DA and every other shot is SA, but if the round fails to fire the gun convers to DA. I could be wrong but the older (not Pro) models don't have a restrike capability.

That's my understanding too. DA-SA-SA-cartridge fail-DA-SA-SA. Also, as I understood, the first shot is like SA, not DA... (behind the scenes firing pin set).

Yes the DA SA feels transparent. I like the trigger but trigger feel is like girls. Guys all have different tastes. I have thought about a failure and I think I would try one more trigger pull then do as Cocked & Locked suggested and rack the slide.

I had a chance to play with the 9mm SS version and I was very impressed by it. The soft rubber grip is very comfortable to grip; The trigger is smooth and break very clean. At around 650 I think it is a steal.

Anyone aware of any after market night sight made for this pistol?
