Well. Some time ago I had posted some issues regarding my Taurus 608 8-shot .357. It would experience cylinder lock-up. I received a great deal of advice from the forum here; thank-you very much.
One of the listers here suggested I speak with Rick @ Elwood Epps. I can't remember who the lister was - if you're reading this, thank-you very much for your advice.
I sent it to Rick, and dealt with him via e-mail & phone. He went over the gun and checked everything.
Anyways, long story short - it appears to be an ammo problem. I was using American Eagle as well as Wolf (I don't have the specifics here, but can provide them if anyone is interested). Rick went over the gun, and told me to use Remington (again, I can't remember which). I took it out last week and the gun performed flawlessly. I ran 50 rounds through it, and it fired without a hitch. I fired it hot, and let it cool down. No issues whatsoever. I understand I could have purchased a more expensive S&W, but I liked this gun and the way it fit me. I am very pleased. Normally the lock-up occurred within the first 8 rounds.
Epps could have taken me to the cleaners and made up a whole bunch of stuff wrong with the gun, and I never would have known any different (a la Canadian Tire, lol). They did not.
So, thank-you Rick & Epps. +1.
