Taurus CT9 carbine coming to canada?

Problem is the restricted status for me.

If they were made with a NR barrel there could be alot of money to be made.

California legal, and possibly other states, that have the "no pistol grip" laws in effect.

I'll have to call around. Once we get them in, perhaps the barrels could be changed to NR length, similar process of the Beretta storm.

Makes no sense to me.

The gun retails around $750 in the US, which likely translates into at least $850 here.

If I wanted a restricted pistol cal carbine I can have a Hi Point for $350, and they get excellent reviews. Then again I could just buy an entry level AR.

If I want something non restricted then the JR or Thureon carbine are better options at almost the same price and they are already NR.

If you factor in $400 + to convert this gun into NR then you're talking $1200+!!! For that or a little more there are much better options.

All of this before I even realized that it takes a proprietary magazine, and not any standard pistol mags!!! This means it is limited to 5 rounds!!! That is a deal breaker IMHO.

Just doesn't make sense from an importer/distributer $$$ point of view.

I agree that the mag issue sucks, but I don't need ten mags personally. The pinned to 5 would be a def disappointment. Hi points feel like $350 rifles too, not my thing. I'd still buy one in a restricted class and still hope to see them come.

This gun could have had potential, but I agree with the too many short commings as per Canadian laws.
Mag limit 5, Restricted, Hi price tag. The demand would probably be low. Blame Canada
