Mr. Robert Crescenzi, Customer Service Manager,
Taurus, International,
16175 NW 49th Ave.,
Miami, FL 33014. (Tel): 1-800-327-3776 & 305-624-1115)

After yet another Taurus thread in gunsmithing..I decided to start a thread here regarding Taurus customer service in Canada.
I talked to Mr. Crescenzi at SHOT in Orlando about the horrible customer service provided by R Nichols and how it was affecting the sales of Taurus product in Canada.
He gave me his e-mail address (which didn't work) and I tried to get in touch with him via phone with no success.
My "campaign" got put on the back burner but the other thread reminded me..
Anyway..if you own a Taurus..vote, post about your experience,etc.
Better yet..put pen to paper and send him a letter describing your experience.

Well, the fact that he is with Taurus USA is another story. He was probably just being polite to you but I can tell you that Taurus USA doesnt give a damn about anything outside their borders and they are unwilling to lend any assistance to Canadians. I have found that I had to deal directly with Taurus Brasil in past, with great success but had absolutely nothing positive from the Taurus Miami group. Nicholls, our then representative was even less helpful(gee, what a surprise).

The only Taurus I'd consider would be a 1911.

It would be a relatively easy fix if something went sideways.

NAA.

Less than a million restricted gun licenses in Canada (about 500,000) . Compared to the U.S. a small market like that just gets ignored.

Broke the rear sight on my PT-99, couldn't get one anywhere in Canada. USA would not ship one to me. Had to get a local dealer to order one to North Dakota and drive it home from there.

Lots of B.S. for a gun I'm afraid to shoot now, because it might break again.:puke::puke::puke:

If I was looking at a Taurus I'd call Freedom Ventures and make sure they were going to be standing behind it, Sean has a great reputation for service. RNicholls has always been a great disappointment.

R Nichols, the customer reps are #######S. I spoke with the supervisor and he was sweet as can be except I've been on a wait list for a very simple part for almost two years on my firearm that is supposidly under warranty...

Some Beretta parts fit but not all and now that Taurus has their pistols into their own revisions less and less parts fit.

We've received our first shipment of guns form Taurus, and I'm working on a list of parts to try to get. If you get a chance please email what you're looking for and / or drop by this thread...

Taurus is adamant that we can't retail guns or mags, I doubt that they will have a problem with us retailing repair parts.

So who sells them? I asked this before.
Everyone with a dealer licence who wants to place an order from me. Just look up.

Off the top of my head (I'm missing a LOT of people), in AB, Phoenix, TSE, Shooters Choice... BC - Bear Creek, Armco, Reliable, DVC, Italian... ON - Al Flaherty, Doubletap, Target, Epps, Williams... MTRL - Dante, CTVSP, CRAFM, NS - Lequille, Hnatiuks, and many more.

Great news Sean. I hope Taurus will allow you to retail parts..or at least ship them to you in a timely manner.

Thanks Sean. The bottom line is I am trying to determine prices on this line, or to pass. For anybody, where can I look for a 92/101 series in stock, and who has the best price?

would Beretta parts fit on it??

As far as the rear sight, not that I know of. It has a weird drop in sight with one screw to hold it in. It's not dove tailed like most rear sights. I thought about having the slide machined for a dovetail, but the top of the slide is really tappered, any normal sight would stick way out and look pretty strange.

It was the first handgun I bought, before I ever heard of IPSC or any other shooting sports. Live and learn.

BRUTAL! You realize that not one of them have any listing on their websites? No references to Taurus at all. AT ALL.

Awesome. Couldn't be better. Because I have never needed to use their service. My Raging Bull was tight as a swiss watch and my 1911 is indestructible, plus parts are easily obtained.
