Hello Everyone,

I now look for a new 9mm pistol. I was looking for something tactical look alike. I looked for the HK P2000 and then the CZ P07 Duty, they both have a lot of trigger space so If i wear some glove I won't squeeze my finger in it like the glock or Walther. I was looking for a DAO or a DA/SA with decocker so i will be able to shoot in DA mode if I want.

The reason I don't want the HK or the CZ is because of the barrell, I hate it to see a 1/4 inch after my gun slide.

I found the Taurus PT 24/7. I know they are 2 models, DAO or DA/SA advanced trigger system. Seriously I know Taurus for their Revolver but not for their pistols.

First of all do you have any comeback(good or bad) from Taurus pistol?(quality, customer service, etc)

Second, I read that the DA/SA Advanced trigger system is a system that if you need to rapidly fire again, the hammer will be decocked so it will be DA all the way. I Think that is false or ridiculous because if you need to strike back, you want it SA so you shoot faster with less pressure. Is someone can clarify this for me?

If you have any other option for a 9mm in a reasonnable range pricelet me know, I'm open minded!

Thanks

I've only handled them...If you like it get one they're pretty affordable.

If you want more info check out TaurusArmed.net lots of happy owners.

I owned one in .40, fairly well made, not flimsy, but not at all accurate either. Taurus make decent stuff, but the accuracy was bad. 12" groups at 15m. The trigger works like this, first pull is DA-deep. Consecutive pulls do not need to go all the way back to the original position to reset the trigger, took a little getting used to but worked well. I heard the 24/7 OSS pistols were more accurate, probably because they are a little longer. I sold mine and I don't regret doing so. My Beretta beats the #### out of it, all metal too.
