I have just read the review of the new Taurus PT1911. That look like a lot of gun for the money. There asking $610 MSRP for the the stainless PT1911. Not bad. I'll have to get a price on the Canadian Market. I think I found my next .45.....

What do all you gun nuts think??????
 
Personally, I wouldn't buy a 'Taurus' 1911 pistol...

NAA you obviously don’t have much experience with Taurus guns (at least new once)…

I have a Raging Bull and it’s a great gun! The trigger (esp. SA) is prefect, the finish is great too. I really mean it when I say it that I wouldn’t trade it for any Smith, Ruger or even Colt :wink:

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Taurus, but I have to say this is a new model and like with any new model (from any manufacturer) there might some problem to work out first. But I think it's going to be a good value I'm guessing you could get one here for $700 or maybe even less. :)

Lugger - I'm from the "whatever floats your boat" school of thought on firearms. If you want to fill your lock-up with Taurus products I'm sure you'll make their shareholders happy enough. :wink: :lol: Me, I'll stick with my S&W wheelguns and Colt 1911 autos. :p
 
OK but just because you like S&W or Colt doesn't mean that Taurus is crap, it may not be your gun of choice but again that doesn't make it 'crap'.

I guess I’m from the “try before you trash” school of thought :wink:

Lugger - Notice I amended my post above to remove the 'crap' reference! :wink: I'll pass on the 'Taurus' testdrive, though. Even so I'm a Ford man I wouldn't even own a 4 wheel 'Taurus". :lol:

Okay, I admit... it's a nice looking 1911. Now are the parts 100% interchangeable with other mainstream 1911's? :?
