I have the RB in 454Casull and its a real nice unit. Highly accurate with both the 45LC and Casull ammo but I suspect you are looking for info refunctionality. It easily handles the recoil and is a pleasure to hold although you wont be spending a lot of time with it hanging out in front, as it is a bit heavy. The trigger action is smooth and in DA the release is excellent. In SA it is a strong pull but its not meant to be an IDPA or combat type machine.
The only drawback would be the potential service depot in Canada or lack thereof if anything should go wrong, but I have had dealings with the Brazil in past with other Taurus guns with great success. The local distributor in Canada, Nicholls is absolutely useless and of no help whatsoever. Their favorite line being "we cant get parts" which I think is due to a lack of interest on their part...But as for the gun, its a boomer.

I've got one too (.44mag stainless 6.5in) - awesome gun, I love mine!!! It's the only gun I ever bought sight unseen, a gamble I know (I did handle a couple Taurus guns before ordering it), but it paid off; I’m very impressed with it and so is everyone that got to handled it.
I started reloading when I ordered mine... it's the only way if you want to shoot 1000+ rounds year... Oh and I’ve yet to shot a .44special though mine…
The SA trigger on mine is very light, I would not want it any lighter…DA is very smooth and not more than 10lbs.
PS: I've heard there is a new Taurus repair center in Canada, anyone know anything about it?

Re service center, last I heard(within 60days), Nicholls will continue to be the provider(heavy sigh), but the issues surrounding their problems are supposedly being addressed by Taurus. Its the service thing that is damaging any advances in the market for Taurus in Canada. Hell, if they(RJN) dont do the job(nor want to by their actions) then get out and let somebody who can do it take over. They hold all the retailers at ransom being the exclusive distributor as well.
