It's been done before.......

And is it still being done by anybody but taurus?

Not sure if Ruger still makes the convertable blackhawk.......
It's a compromise pistol, it won't shoot any of those calibers real well. There's a few thou difference between 9mm/38super and .38sp/.357mag bullets.......

the astra police also came in 9mm/357- and it was d/a just like this one, but has a skinny barrel- seems to shoot well enough with lead 9mm or 357s- barrel is probably a 356 - but alas, again a prohib- just like this one- 4 inch bbl

Who cares if it's probib or not... it's a Taurus, therefore crap. You don't want it anyway.
do you have a taurus?- some of their revolvers are just smiths with brazilian markings and the new raging bull has the crispest single action i've ever felt-the double is a beast, however

Smith's with 'Brazilian markings'.... yeah, sure....

I wouldn't waste my $$ on a Taurus... if I 'need' any more wheelguns they'll be Smith's with 'real S&W markings'...

Heh, if Taurus is a "S&W with Brazilian markings", Norinco must be a Sig Sauer with Chinese markings...
