i found a taurus pt 1911 for around 600-800 , but taurus's are good quality imo i've held one of those 1911b's at a shop big and helfty to me my thumb had trouble reaching the slide release but it was well made 1911 to me. It had alot of the bells and whistles i would just change the sights and the grips , and would probably buy the one with the picitanny rail try to find one for around 700 maybe a bit more and i'd say that is a good deal. hope this helps.
