Tavor 21 vs x95

TAVOR has a longer LOP and a forward charging handle. The magazine release is a lever at the back, and probably more resistant to sand and mud than the more complicated internal levered button in X95. The guts and the architecture are the same mostly

When I handled the original tavor, it was very cumbersome for me, the back end just felt unnecessarily large. The stock trigger was really heavy, and the front end didn't leave much for ergonomics. The X 95 pretty much fixed all my gripes with the original tavor, slimeline back end, quad rail up front, etc.

For me, X95 all the way

I much preferred the Tavor over the X95. I much like the foward charging handle. I also like the grip for using the Israeli shooting stance for shooting the Tavor. Also the Tavor is lighter then the X95 despite the X95 being smaller in stature.

actually, the mag release is at the front of the mag, dumb place.

X95 for me.

Just picked up my X95... Oh my gosh, does this thing ever fit me like a glove. The weight distribution at first was not what I expected but in holding it, it is perfectly balanced for me. I love the ergonomics of this (it's like using the Microsoft natural keyboard, or Sculpt, which I know many people hate) - I have a bit of arthritis, so in holding this, I don't feel that my hands or wrists are taxed at all unlike other guns where I am constantly adjusting. It feels relaxed, not too heavy, and it came with a brand new sealed C Products Defense SS AR 5/30 mag, carrying bag, and cleaning tools. Sticker on the bag said it was a .223 but barrel stamp says 5.56 @ 1:7 twist. The wait was worth it!

It's actually a great place. You can just move your thumb to the rear to drop the mag while keeping your finger near the trigger, while using your other hand to slap a new mag in.

That only works well with mags that drop free though, but when they do, the lever in the front is the superior design.

I love the position of the mag release. For guys like me with larger hands all you need to do is rock your wrist back to release the mag.
