Hi everyone! I am looking to see what suggestions the community here has to offer for a left eye dominant Tavor shooter. I had the pleasure of trying TV-PP's Tavor this spring and decided it was a perfect fit for my needs, however, now after a putting a little over 150 rounds of Federal .223 down the pipe I have a nice scar about 3/4" wide running from my lips down to my jaw line comprised of semi-circular marks from the neck of the brass.

I have 2 local stores with Tavor lefty bolts on order (one since early February, the other since Friday) with no response from North Sylva about them.

I have been playing around with the idea of a brass catcher being rigged up to be mounted on the back of the rail, any suggestions for products that could easily be retrofitted to help me achieve this would be great!

I have also read and watched that the Tavor is no problem left handed with 5.56 ammo as it has a hot enough load to eject it forward to the 1-2 o'clock position rather than the 3 o'clock position. If so, would the Norc ammo be able to fit the bill? Because green-tips are out of my price range for my needs at the moment!

Building a functioning brass catcher is something I think would fit the bill for now while waiting for a lefty (non-existent) bolt as I want to begin reloading as well.

Maybe Zahal should bring some Tavor Brass Catchers in? :D

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Eating brass isn't that bad until it starts chewing back!

i got a caldwell brass catcher for around $40 (i think?) it fits great on the tavor but i find its annoying because it interferes with my arm. i have to put the catcher on top of my arm or hold my arm out a bit so i dont squish the catcher against the rifle. all in all its better then brass in the teeth. hope this helps cheers.

Would you mind posting a few pics of it mounted?

I've mounted my rail mount 3bucc brass catcher for fit, it rides a touch high on the ejection port but should work. I haven't tested it yet but will hopefully get a chance soon.
