Once again I feel like we're getting severely ripped off by our retailers. CT is not bringing in massive stock of these rifles yet still seem able to make a profit.

In all fairness a box store can run several locations at a loss as long as the company comes out profitable as a whole. This is why some stores can come into a town and out compete "mom and pop" stores, the box store is able to sell some items even below cost at that location as long as the business comes out profitable as a whole (some purposely do that in order to close the competition, but I digress).

The retailers aren't ripping the customer off in this case, they just don't have enough locations Canada wide that they can price something that low in order to get you through the doors to purchase other goods. We don't have confirmation that this is a Canadian Tire chainwide price, or for that location only in order to get you through the doors. Could also be a pricing error or sale, we don't know and can't confirm as firearms aren't sold on the website or chainwide.
 
You guys are #######s. I have NEVER seen so much as a bolt action being sold at CT, let alone semi's and surplus. Thanks for the heads up and pics. Very interesting.
