Hey, just got the last parts to my Tavor build. (hahaha, we all know I'll need 8 more things next week). Picked up a Fenix TK21, rail mount, and remote switch. Wondering what other people have done to mount the remote pressure switch. I'll include a couple pictures of what I'm about to discuss, but I'd love some advice, as I know there's a few folk round here who are VERY experienced Tavor owners. For clarification, I want to do all of this with the stock handguard. I am not really thinking about getting an aftermarket handguard at this time.

Cable Option 1
Dremel out the square rear hole in the handguard to allow space to push the pressure switch though.

This is the most direct option, leaving almost no cable exposed at all. It's clean, and I like it. But mocking it up, it seems like there's a BIT too much tension on the cable between the flashlight and the hole. Although I'll sand down the hole, ensure no sharp edges that could cut the cable, I can help but feel over time that the cable will pull loose from the flashlight end.

Cable Option 2
Dremel out a small area at the top rear side of the handguard, and drill through the stock in the same spot.

This alleviates all the tension on the cable, but requires a lot more modification of the rifle, and requires drilling of the actual stock (which is much harder to replace if I #### up), rather than just the handguard (much easier to replace). It still allows for minimal exposed cable.

Cable Option 3
Same as 1, but route the cable over the top of the rail, to the left side of the gun first, then through the bottom of the handguard.

This alleviates the tension, and allows for minimal drilling. It just now leaves the entire cable on the outside of the rifle, which I still can't decide if I like the look of it or not.

Cable Option 4
Combination of 2 and 3. Route the cable over the top, to the left side, but drill on the upper left hand side instead of the right.
This doesn't really have benefits over any other option, but leaves the cable exposed.

Switch Mounting 1
Use tape backed velcro on the switch and the hard plastic backing in the handguard, leaving the hole exposed.

Easy to do, no additional modification of stock parts.

Switch Mounting 2
Same as 1, but remove some material from the stock black plastic insert that came with the rifle, fill the back of it with JB weld, form and sand a rounded backing to it, reinsert it to the slot, and use it as a button to activate the pressure switch.

I like this option, as it leaves the handguard looking as stock as possible, and I don't have to jam my thumb into the handguard to activate the light.

Or am I just REALLY overthinking this whole damn thing??!?!

First, is the grip that you actually use with the rifle conducive to having the pressure switch there?

I like wiring option #1... less wire sticking out = win to me. Wiring over the rail and all over the place seems like it's going to get in the way.
