You are mostly correct except you contradict yourself a tiny tiny bit on the CTAR(the 15"barreled restricted tavor) is still availible brand new from factory. Just not many people carry them. I do believe SFRC still has some.

I personaly haven't seen a CTAR for retail sale for a year or two. If they are still for sale, then I stand corrected.

I have heard the same but know no one or heard anyone who has done it that way yet. Its better to do it yourself anyways. First reason being, you gain experience and familiarity with your new tavor. Second reason being if you choose to sell your tavor at a later date people will most likely want a right handed bolt. Limiting yourself to a lefty only bolt will potentially screws ya for selling it later if you do so.

they are still for sale, although not easily found. Usually have to special order them. I really wanted one, and 3 weeks ago I ordered one through a local retailer. it showed up a week later. Needless to say, im a proud CTAR owner now! lol

I thought the standard Tavor could be fired left handed with no issues. I know I've seen a few you tube vids of them being shot left handed with the factory right hand ejection. It's not ideal but it still worked. So would a lefty HAVE to convert to left hand ejection or would it be ok from the factory? I'm a lefty and I'm really interested in a Tavor. Any actual experience with Tavor left hand shooting out there?
 
5.56 ammo ejects forward in the 1'oclock position, and .223 ammo ejects in the 3'oclock position, Thanks to the ejector buffer, so youll be fine with either ammo when shooting a "right handed" tavor in the left handed position.

I'm a big guy with a big head. I shot a tavor once but did so right handed.

To give an idea, Even my AR-15 was bouncing them off my face sometimes when it was new and tight. I run a brass catcher now anyway. Keltec sub 2000 will give me powder burns to the chin also. I would not shoot a righty bull pup.
 
As a left handed Tavor shooter I can say that you will want a lefthanded bolt, Period. If you dont get it you will never be able to shoot it naturally the way the Israelis designed it. I tried for about a hundred rounds before the LHB came into canada last year, ended up that my chin and lips would block the ejection port resulting in the brass hitting me then bouncing back into the chamber causeing a stoppage.

I tried to do just that with a site sponsor, and was told it cant be done so I ordered the left hand conversion for additional cost.

Many military styled firearm manufactures that make firearms will mark their barrels .223 to comply with import and export laws of certain countries. For instance military style rifles coming out of the United States that are chambered for 5.56 will generally but not always mark their barrels in the .223 caliber to comply with export restrictions. Apparently its frowned upon to export 5.56 rifles from the states so I have heard. Marking .223 is just a quick workaround the rules. All Israeli made Tavors are marked .223 on the rifle. However they are actually chambered for Nato 5.56.

So to answer your question directly, there are no Israeli made tavors in Canada marked in the 5.56 caliber. I cant verify 100% if that is the case for American made tavors as I have not seen one up close but I am unsure if they are available here yet anyways. In the American case when they make it here if they are not in fact all ready here, there is a 99% chance they will be marked .223 as well but chambered in 5.56 Nato.

Yup I seen that yesterday that SFRC had one for sale as it was mentioned in this thread earlier. I stand corrected as I said earlier. :)

You stand correct on which point? The point that they are hard to find?
From what I can see, they are not hard to find. A couple of local dealers and retailers across Canada have them in stock.
