Tavor, long or short

I ordered the non restricted Tavor. I found out about them a while ago, and found the idea, and ergonomics very appealing. With all the limited loaded regs at the local ranges around here ( single shot loaded, five round max, etc.) I would like to be able to take it up into the mountains for some real fun.

One question I have is, how good is the supplied sight? Are the other ones at Canam better in any way?

Congrats on your order, its one fine rifle. Sight - that depends on what you intend to use this rifle for. It features fancy power source but thats about it, in all other respects its just another red dot. Dot could be a little dim while looking through it from shade into sun lit area, but still visible. You will have to practice gripping this rifle the same way all the time due to sight parallax issue or your accuracy will go south.

But then again it appears to me I am the only guy who notieced it, so maybe I am just slightly paranoid...

I was just wondering if these Kobra's would be a worth while upgrade, or if the one it comes with is adequate.

Do they even fit?

From what I understand was said in a previous thread if you want to change the optics on it you need to order the optional ($300) Picatiny rail. The sights that come with it are on a proprietary mount.

I had no idea, having never even peeked through a red dot sight before. With the price of the mount alone, I think I will keep the one it comes with, and get a light instead, or something else.
