Tavor muzzle brake?

I can that you don't want anything too 'blasty' due to the muzzle proximity. A milder type of brake would be desirable.

Blast mitigation devices could serve a good purpose here, although I have never used one. It would be interesting to try.
I have read complaints that the Ferfrans CMD locking collar can fail. Seems like the lock ring mechanism might be a little too complicated.

Anoxia, the Lantac BMB looks interesting. The simple external lock ring tabs look robust and trouble free. It will be interesting to hear your feedback. Any ETA on those?

I wonder how the recently released Matador Stinger Blast Mitigator (Canadian made and at CGN vendor Colonel Mustard Tactical) would work. Price point is good. Looks like the outer blast mitigator cone only screws on to the muzzle device. Not sure if that is sufficient or it would tend to unspin itself?

My 556 BMD pre-order is has been in for awhile now but GP Tactical is expecting them soon. If it works well, I might pick up a 762 version as well.

After some research I ended up going with the Rainer arms comp/brake. If I remember correctly they advertised it as a hybrid between a a compensator and a brake.

Mikethebike was 100% correct and I am eating my fist haha . I never thought 5.56 needed a muzzle device but the differnce is night and day. I was quiet honestly blown away at how little the rifles moves and how tight follow up shots are now

The only thing is now I'm looking at muzzle devices for every other gun I own

I have two Lantac dragons, one on my tavor and one on my sks-d. And they're great. Ridiculously stable. Blasty though. Any loose stuff on the bench is going flying. I have a VG6 on my 16" AR-15, and I really like that too. Doesn't seem as loud, but makes for airsoft-like recoil and muzzle rise. A brake I put on my Vz-58 for looks that turned out to be awesome was the AK-74 brake. Really like it. Way better than the CSA brake.

Does any blast come back towards you with the Dragon on the Tavor?
I had the M4-72 on my Tavor and I got blasted every shot with it. Baffles were angled backward and the OAL of the Tavor must've been too short

It's .223 not a .308, I hold the rifle still and there is no muzzle rise. Yes it really is that simple if your not a pencil pusher all day and actually have some upper body strength.
There's no one's advice on muzzle brakes I would trust more than mikethebike's, check out his sticky on muzzle devices at the top of this section, great info there

Edit; Nevermind! I see you figured it out! :D

No, I find with hearing protection on I don't really notice it. It was actually others shooting with me who brought it up. TV-press pass was timing me at the tavor course and said "holy muzzle blast batman" as I nearly took his hat off lol. When I switched rifles with a friend and was right beside it it definitely surprised me how much blast there was, because when shooting it you don't feel it. I've made the sacrifice of loading up quick getting out off a truck and didn't take the time to put on my ears a couple times. And wow is it much louder. The VG6 is nicer that way, but I think the dragon does a better job at actually keeping the muzzle in place.
