They've licensed a version of the Tavor done up in their crazy Russian calibers!! It looks about the same, but I'd love to hold an Isaeli and a Ukranian one side by side and see how they feel.

(Also that is a really ugly sling mount on the second pic)

Ukrainian state-owned firm RPC Fort (Research and Production Company Fort of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine) is manufacturing under license a variant of the IWI Tavor chambered in 5.45x39mm Russian.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are still primarily armed with 5.45x39mm chambered firearms inherited from the Soviet Union. They have adopted a small number of RPC Fort-manufactured 5.56mm Tavors, presumably in use by special forces.

Israel manufactures the Tavor in 5.56x45mm and 9mm. It has been claimed that India is manufacturing it chambered in 5.56×30mm MINSAS but I have seen no evidence of this and am skeptical.

On the contrary, perhaps an import version of this would finally facilitate some cheap 5.45x39. You don't see the caliber here because to date only AKs shoot it, and they're all prohibited here so there is no market. Create the demand.

From what I read in the past, Israel has licensed Tavor to Ukraine only for sale within Ukraine. I do not believe that it can be imported to Canada from there. Also regarding grenade launcher, according to firearmblog it is South African.

Not surprised. They allowed it to be licensed and made for Ukraine, not competing against the designer.
