I see a rule that the finger cannot be in the trigger guard just like pistol but the trigger guard covers shrouds the fingers of the whole firing hand. To take out all the fingers under the trigger guard one would have to take you firing hand off the grip for the most part. Or is the guard just considered an arctic trigger guard and the grip fingers inside it would be ok as long as the trigger finger is straight forward and off the trigger and out of guard?

The rifle rules committee has said that in the case of rifles like the Tavor where you basically can't help but have fingers in the trigger guard while operating them, we are to interpret 10.5.9 et al as applying to these rifles when the trigger finger itself is in violation. Other fingers on the pistol grip only are OK. Basically keep the trigger finger out of the guard when loading, unloading, correcting malfunctions, during movement when not engaging targets, etc. etc.

The guy DQed at Sharon literally had his trigger finger on the trigger from start to finish of the reload... there is no leeway for that, ever.

Thank you. Just what I was looking for.
