Tavor old gen vs new gen

Ugly scope

Excellent scope for the money. It's being borrowed from my RFB for ammo testing with the Tavor. The M21 will go back on after. Also it shows there is enough real estate on the shorter rail for scopes or reflex sites. Looks like I'll have enough space for the M21 and a Buis.

For reference
Gen 1 Tavor with aftermarket rail and foregrip

And just for love of non-restricted shortness... vs a 10.5" AR with stock in. :D

Ah loves mah Tavor!

let me know your results for ammo testing cause i'm getting some weird 6 inches at 100 yard with american eagle 55 grain. So that doesn't seem right to me

Will have to give them to Blaxsun first as he supplied the hard to get ammo.

One ammo that seemed pretty good offhand shooting was the 55 PMC bronze 223. I have some of the 5.56 as well that I'll try out. One thing a good 22LR shows you is just how much a firearm can either love or hate certain ammo. My Swiss Arms PE90 for example shoots the 63 grain RUAG ammo like crap (1:10 twist barrel). Which was amazing because the ammo was designed for that rifle. But throw in 62 grain American Eagle (red box) and it shoots 5 rounds at 1 moa for 100 yards.

With the Tavor and it's tough trigger most just plink with the Tavor. Fortunately having learned on government supplied DAO 12-14 pound per pull pistols I don't find it as difficult with a heavy trigger providing it's crisp. But let's also keep in mind reality. The Tavor is a piston system and not free floated. It's not particularly designed for accuracy. It's not going to be like an AR with a match barrel on it. But should still be interesting. Now I just need to get out to the range. It's been a bad year so far for making out there. :(
