I had a bunch of people ask me about the sling setup I was using earlier this year:

So I threw together a video on what sling options I use now, and what I've tried in the past:

I definitely liked my Tavor factory sling better than my 858 factory sling :p And I used the factory sling for a long time, but I always ended up with weird knots and dangling strings.

What are other people using to carry their Tavors? Has anyone put a vickers sling on a Tavor? One Shot Tactical has such a high opinion of the vickers units I should probably try them out. I'm still not sure if the Urban ERT in the video is the one I'll stick with, but I like it for now.

A range buddy was describing someone who put a loop of zip tie material through the hole in the rear, then had an HK hook clipped into that? Does anyone have pictures of that kind of setup? I'd be curious to try it.

Is that a push button cup in the buttstock or just a hole where you put paracord through?

Anyone have a Tavor they could bring into the store? I'll figure out the best way to hook up the VCAS.

Sorry for off topic here, but where did you get the jacket your wearing? I like the camo on it.
Thanks

Don't mean to answer on his behalf, but as I have quite a few pieces from them, I guess I will!

It's from Sitka Gear.

I have a bunch of different items from them - really awesome gear. Expensive, but really good. Higher-end technical products and not the loosy-fitting typical Browning/Remington hunting clothing.

I have a special account with them that gives me a very good discount, but unfortunately I cannot share it (don't mean to rub it in), but that's why I was able to acquire a few pieces.

They have a few different type of camos too. There's a good amount of shops that carry the Sitka line in Canada.

So off topic :p

What you're seeing is Sitka's Optifade Open Country camouflage, specifically designed for ungulates who see in black and white.

Optifade is designed in Canada by HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp. based out of Maple Ridge BC. They also have a darker forest camo and a european specific version that I've never seen but would love to try.

I used mine to creep up on a moose about forty minutes before filming the sling video. It works damn well:

Oh! And in response to farmboy:
Is that a push button cup in the buttstock or just a hole where you put paracord through?

Its just a hole, but I believe other people have wedged a mesa tactical QD mount in there that worked well. PBR? Blaxsun? Sorry I cant remember who I saw doing that.

i still like the single point with the quick release as the short profile of the bullpup will let you hang it to the side without issues.
mesa tactical quick release for the remington 870 fits perfectly where you would normally run the paracord...DS Tactical sells them;)
