I have been using Win .233 rem 55GR FMJ in my Tavor, and have not been overly happy with it with regards to accuracy, Just wondering what others may have found with diff ammo.

Looking for some ammo suggestion please.

My Ar has the same twist (1/7) and seems to favour the Hunting Shack Montana with the 50 gr vmax , good for 1" from a bench with glass @ 100 meters , failing that maybe try 53 grain hornady varmint , each rifle will shoot a little different than the next despite the same make and twist...........

Mine seemed to do well with 55 grain PMC. I'll be trying 62, 64, and 69 handloads later. Maybe some of the 77 too.

Just goes to show how much variation there is between different rifles of the same type there is. With 68 gr Black Hills match, and with the Swiss Raug 62 gr FMJ, I'm only getting 2.5 moa at best. Rem 55 gr fmj is about 4 moa; winchester white box 62 gr gives about 2.8 moa. This is all at a bench at 100m three power scope. I find this rifle hard to shoot on the bench. I do slightly better with a sling, prone.

The remington fmj gave me one malfunction, the case showing a cratered primer, in which I'll need to investigate further.

The best fmj budget ammo in my rifle is the load you don't like, the winch 55 gr fmj, where my results are about 1.8 moa!!!!

Even substituting the G.I. bullets with varmint or match bullets hasn't made as much improvement on group size as in my other black rifles.

If you still have the factory sight, check it for wobble. Mine was wobbly and was replaced. Big (obvious) difference right there. Hope this helps
