What parts are needed for a X95 Leftie conversion. I know I need a left handed bolt but do I also need a left handed barrel and cocking handle?

You do not need any different barrel or charging handle BUT if yiubwant it fully ambi, you will need the tool to remove the handle (etc.. ) to switch it over to the right side of the reciever

I don’t really care where the charging handle is. I just need the ejection port on the left side so I am not getting brass in the face! So just a Leftie bolt and a barrel wrench is what I need?

watched as many as I could on the x95, manual and videos werent super clear on what is needed. Some say I need a barrel assembly some just say bolt

I'm looking to do this too...It's just the bolt you need and the barrel wrench is recommended, but you can get away with a flat head screwdriver.

If you find one could please let me know!!! I used my X95 for the first time today and after 30 rounds my chin was dripping red. I can't find a bolt at retail to save my life.

On a, side note someone tried to sell me a used one for $700, I kindly said no.

All that is needed is a LH bolt. A bolt should cost about $250 - $300. There are a couple? listed on Gun Post.

The barrel wrench is needed to swap the charging handle over. You will want to swap the charging handle as it is difficult to lock the action open with the charge handle on the wrong side.

I made a barrel wrench from a large (3/8" IIRC) hex wrench. Just grind the short end into a flat head screwdriver shape.

The only thing I found to be a little confusing and not well documented was the need to swap a pin over in the bolt carrier. Otherwise the LH bolt won't fit correctly.

Did your rifle jam up on you at all? I fired 2 rounds from left side and both jammed the rifle…fired 10 from right side and the rifle ejected as it should.

Could you please link me one? I have an ad up as WTB and I know there are a couple more like that, but I didn't see a FS post

Thanks for the help guys, I feel it's going to be a bit of a waiting game.

Took it out yesterday for some range action and had to wrap my chin with a scarf to take the hits from the shell... It worked haha. Have a larger / angled brass deflector coming next week, hopefully that works 🤞

I am an IWI x95 armorer so let me see if I can answer your questions. The reason you can't find a left handed bolt is that they are only sold to IWI armorers for installation. Otherwise, you need to send the rifle to IWI for the first conversion. The reason for this is simply liability. They need to head space, No Go, the bolt. The price for the bolt is roughly $80, wrench $12us and labor. Bolt and wrench are the only two parts you will need. Call IWI to find an armorer in your area. Bolts are obviously scarce but IWI does get restocks.

There are very specific steps to replacing the bolt. You need to remove the changing handle before unlocking the barrel! If you don't, you will destroy the charging handle, gas block, and possibly the barrel wrench.

The bolt carrier assembly has 2 pins that need to be moved from right side to left before installing the Left handed bolt. The safety levers and swing swivels need to be reversed. Only the grip screw, grip, and front screw need to be removed to release the hand guard then remove Charging handle! Push the retaining lever and turn the barrel lock to unlocked, following the arrow on rifle. Remove barrel and flip the charging handle dust cover. Replace the barrel and relock it. Install guard and you should be good. I don't think I missed anything. It takes about 20 minutes. Tom Alibrando has some great videos on the IWI YouTube channel. Be specific as there are a few differences between the SAR and x95.

LOL, BALONEY. There are / were numerous stores in Canada listing LH bolts. Supply dried up only recently.

The price for the bolt is roughly $80
Even bigger LOL.

Every listing I've ever seen for an X95 bolt was around $250 - $300 cad.

He's not wrong, he's just speaking about the US and not Canadian market. From what I've seen IWI won't sell the bolts individually in the states (presumably due to liability/ensuring correct headspace as they mentioned) and you need to send your rifle in for the swap, it also seems more cost effective vs our market.

LH bolts (like you said) have been available in our market from North Sylva.

I've done the conversion on two different X95's, as mentioned it's not overly difficult but you will damage some components if you don't follow proper procedure. The conversion procedure is available step by step in the owners manual. There are also some minor variations depending on design changes throughout x95 production

What a load of baloney. :( The only part needed is the LH bolt. IF you want to swap the cocking handle, then you need a barrel unlocking tool.

LOADS of people have swapped out just the bolts with no problems.
Just going by the manufacturer and the armorer that has done dozens of conversions, This a discussion forum not an argument.
I'll stick with the manufacturer and the armourer , it's the offset that is the issue, it's clearly laid out, lol otherwise they would not need the barrel assembly like previous models did not.
