I am thinking of a Schofield top break 45 LC in 7 inch. In the white finish, lazer engraved with the pearl grips.

dont get it--Wanstals had these same in 12 inch barrel for 500 dollars less?

The difference is because the 12 inch versions are coming direct from Chiappa (or their international dealer) and it's not coming through the US.
16 inch can come direct as well.... ask my how I know.

The ironic part is that we can have the shorties non regulated but stateside they can't.

I went with 16 inch because if you are actually storing it 'took down', the longer barrel makes sense. If your packing it, the 12 inch might be more convenient.

Any Chiappa 44mag takedowns coming in 16"?
