Are these 2 compatible? I have never seen a barrel chambered in 257. Is there a reason why a guy couldn't ream a 25-06 to 257 W? That caliber with the 28" barrel would be like shooting laser beams.
From what I've read, the Encore frame can't reliably handle the pressures of the 257. Similar reason they don't chamber them in the WSM's, not enough barrel left after the fat cartridge.
