TC Encore Pro Hunter - what size of rings are you using?

I have a TC Encore and put an old set of rings (millet - not sure what height) on it. I find that I have a hard time getting my thumb on the hammer to #### it back. Not much room between the hammer and the scope. What height of rings do you find fit/work the best?

You should have a hammer extension on it to alleviate that problem.

My TC has a hammer spur that can be loosened and turned counter clock wise 45 degrees to allow it to extend out to the side of the scope, good luck.

That's because you have a Pro Hunter and he has an Encore.

Says Prohunter in the title. Either way, you can get an extension for an Encore.

I sold ( TC ) everything few month ago, but my set-up was: Leupold High , and Talley med. on the other one, works for me.

Thanks folks. Got the hammer extension just have a hard time getting between the scope and hammer when you want to #### it quietly in a hunting situation.

I have the prohunter and just have the hammer swung to 45. I use medium burris zee rings and a 3-9x40 burris scope and find it has enough room for me.

Hope you got the aluminum one...the heavier steel models can cause problems.

I figured he had the Encore because if he had the Pro Hunter it's pretty obvious that you can swing the hammer.

On my old Encore I had medium Burris Signature Zee rings with the steel maxima base. I had more then enough thumb clearance with a Zeiss Conquest scope.
