So after 4yrs of procrastinating on whether or not to buy TC Icon (.308)......I finally got off the pot and bought me one :D I read all the reviews by the owners off here and added my .02 cents, well now its my turn to talk from the owners side. I bought this from Wanstalls last Tues (Apr 5th) and it arrived Friday (Apr 8th). No sooner was it un-wrapped I had a scope on and boresighted. I made up some loads using IMR 3031 & H380 powders with Remington 150gr Core Lokts & Win brass and primer.

-This group was 40.5grs H380 @ 100yds (this charge was from a #2.8 Lee Dipper). When I saw this group I thought "Hmm not bad, got some potential there".

Now this group was 3 rounds with 43.5C grs IMR 3031 (Max charge), Rem 150gr CL & Federal brass w Win primer @ 100yds. I stopped my load development here for today untill I try some 150gr Hornady IL and the same powder.(the two holes top left were from H380 powder/load development)

I gotta say though, TC sure makes an accurate outta the box accurate rifle. Ya the Icon might weigh a bit more, IMO WHO CARES!!! This beauty of a rifle is accurate, has excellent bolt throw, fits awesome and proved itself to me right there today. Why I waited soooo long (besides price) I dunno , Hey Thanks for reading,

LOL!
Procrastinating? Seriously?
More like A.D.D.! The EE forum is your kryptonite. Nice rifle BTW, I'll see it when I'm back.

Hakx

I will be buying one this week a 308 Icon Wheathershield, i had the opportunity to shoot 2 of them this fall and this rifle is the best kept secret in the world, lucky for us because if peoples knew they would sell twice the price... JP.

I have to say that I'm jealous as well. I am an avid Thompson fan, and I've been watching all the posts on the Venture and the Icon.(there aren't too many) The only thing holding me back from owning one is there aren't any left handed versions. I had to settle for the Encore, which I love.

The wood stock is a classy choice.

Hey the Encore is a sweet package as well. I picked up an Endevour .50cal last fall. So now I have my dedicated Bp gun and dedicated centerfire
;) I was considering a Venture in .270 last fall but I promised myself I'd own an Icon when they 1st appeared on the market.
I too am an avid TC fan :)

My business was done at Wanstalls paid 829.00 plus gst and free shipping, good price from a good store... JP.
