First I don't know much about ML design but I've had a recurring issue with a Triumph. There are two small screws that affix a "lug" to the barrel that the hinge pin inserts into. These little screws come lose from time to time. Well today they stripped which interestingly leads to walking off the range with 2 pieces-a scoped barrel and the action.
Any reason aside from saving manufacturing costs that this pivot lug piece is not welded to the barrel? I cleaned the stripped screws, barrel threads and used jb weld to hopefully keep this key piece in place. Personally, I think it a s### design-especially when these two 1/8" screws keep the barrel on the hinge pin.
