TC Triumph Problem

I have a TC Triumph bought last year, worked great until ML season this year.

Has anyone had the same problem as this.

The trigger guard unlocks way to easily and the gun opens and the primer falls out, real pain in the butt.

I sent TC an email no response yet. There aren't many moving parts but I can't figure out whats going on so its time to ask the masses.
 
The first thing I'd check is to make sure your breechplug is properly installed. If it's not, the gun will not lock closed. When you pull the trigger guard back, does it make an audible click when it locks? Never heard of that problem with a Triumph and it's definitely not normal nor acceptable.
 
Even with my traditions I find that some primers are just a tad longer than others. Using win 209 primers I have to give the gun a quick snap to close it or it wont lock closed. Maybe your having the same issue? I actually like it like this because I get no fouling out the rear with the tight fitting primer like that. If I use a rem primer it will close and lock easy and also gets dirty back there.

screw the breech plug all the way in...usually though a plug that is not correctly tightend will not allow the action to close, from my experience with similar types of actions...

Actually, the Triumph has a pretty unique breech plug that doesn't really screw in and can only be aligned one way but you do need to assure that it is aligned properly.......

It's almost fool proof, when I looked at it, I thought maybe it was not turned enough.

I cleaned the threads on the plug and inside the barrel still no luck. A fellow CGN'er gave me the info for the warranty center. So thats my next step.
 
The Darwin Awards are proof that there is no such things as foolproof but if it doesn't lock when you pull the trigger guard rearward or it doesn't stay locked, it definitely sounds like a warranty issue to me. They can't make them all flawlessly!
