I have had my I on a TC Venture since they came out and I was finally going to order one but when I was at my dealer yesterday I asked him what his best price on the T3 would be that he has in stock. He gave me a price of $55 more than the venture that he would have to order in. Now I am in a delema. I told him to order the venture if it was in stock at the supplier if not I would take the tikka. I both guns feel good to me and I have not heard anything really bad about either gun. I starting to think maybe to tell him not to order the TC and just to take the tikka. The Tikka has been on the rack for a while now because he is selling the savage edge really well and people are just comparing the price tag. Input on either rifle good, bad, or ugly will help in my decision, thanks.

Both very accurate gun, are they the same caliber, you will have to pay extra for bases, the Venture come with it, you can go wrong either side... JP.

My T3 has the smoothest bolt I've ever encountered. It is easily .75 moa with at least 60% of the loads I've shot it with. My best friend has a venture , and It is also a very accurate gun. He only shot factory rounds through his, but 1 MOA came easy with a decent scope and a rest. I thought both were equal in my eyes. Good luck on picking between these two!!!!

My TC Venture in 30-06 is quite comfortable to shoot with the stock recoil pad and some hefty heavy for caliber loads. Its a dream to shoot with some of the light bullet loads I've made up.

I have a TC in 7mm mag that will shoot 3 140 gr. Bergers overlapping. The gun was very well priced and functions very smoothy. The only fault I found was the adjustable trigger does not really adjust but it is a very good trigger regardless.

Also, the barrel is on the heavy side so the gun weighs a bit to carry around compared to a tika lite. I've owned both and IMHO I think the Venture is better built and a better value. ( Only by a bit though )

I have TC icon in 30-06 and a T3 lite in 6.5x55. Both with synthetic stocks

I find the bolt smoother andthe trigger better on the T3. That said, I like the stock better on the Icon, it has 2 more inches of barrel, and the extra weight makes it 'settle down' alot quicker. I think the venture would have most of these things in common.

In terms of accuracy, its too close to call. The Icon's favourite load will start crowding the 0.5 MOA mark. The T3 comes in at about 0.75. However, the scope on the icon goes to 15x, whereas the T3's leupold tops out at 7x.

If I could have only one, I think I would go with the Tikka - but only by a slim margin. Can't really go wrong either way

the T3 has a smoother bolt and is not quite as heavy as the TC due to the fact the venture has a medium barrel it really depends what rifle fits you better

You've made your decision, but I was going to add that the T3 is, imo, one of the best deals out there. Is it perfect? No. But it will be accurate and you can pretty much take that to the bank. Hard to beat for $600-$700.

All true ,except they are light and they kick like and old horse if it is important to you, see to it a Venture is a lot more comfy to shoot , having both in the same caliber, i did check for that, the Venture will settle back faster for a follow shot this is noticiable... JP.
