Hey guys. I have a tec 12 that’s recently started to act up. I already know all about ammo selection and how to operate it properly in semi and pump.
The problem I’m having has to do with the bolt group or trigger assembly. It simply won’t fire. Pull the trigger “click” but no bang. At first I thought it was out of battery. But upon inspecting it I found that the firing doesn’t protrude.
Examining the bolt in battery and the pin forward, I found that the firing pin doesn’t stick past the bolt.
Is this the culprit? The bolt head has a heavy spring behind it. Has this spring stretched and is keeping my firing pin from hitting?
If somebody could take the time and measure theirs for me it would help allot. The spring is part number 53 in the manual.
