I've heard they can be an improvement... but are there downsides in the real world?

Do they get in the way close to the face/eyes?

Are they easy/quick to disassemble/reassemble, and keep zero? considering the need to clean corrosive.

Worth the effort and money? Or would you choose a different path for some reason?

which model did you choose? TS100 or TS200?

They look a little silly and increase the amount of time it takes to assemble and disassemble the firearm. I would just get the Williams rear peep sight or fire sights.

I really want some tech sights for my marlin 795 but they do not ship to Canada. I know Hical has them but not sure if i want to spend $100 for them...

With the comparative value of our dollars combined with the markup from the importer and Canadian retailer, I don't think you'll do any better than $100 unless you smuggle them. I ordered tech sights from hical for my Remington 597 and it was worth it.

I ordered them on Amazon for my Savage Mk II.
They're the same set that fit on the Marlin 795, but with a dovetail adapter for the front sight, and an adapter that fits the rear pair of tapped holes on the receiver.
I really like them.

Riiight... but the Williams/firesights have a reputation for being cheap/flimsy/prone to fail...

Have been looking at the Mojo and they seem solid, but the Tech Sights with an extra 10" sight radius may offer better accuracy... so I'm curious about Tech-Sight SKS users who have used them enough to have an opinion.

Sure, I have used both. The extra 10" does give a better line of sight but it doesn't do much to help precision over the Williams sight. Hand load and choose an SKS with a tight bore if you want precision. I combined the Williams sight with a target post from hical and that was my preferred setup. I recommend you loctite every part of the Williams once you get it zero'd, they are cheap and will come apart otherwise. Once I used loctite and cranked it down it stayed put.

I have not tried the Mojo.

I had TS-100s on one of my SKS, a 1950 refurb in a choate conventional stock. Just sold her to a buddy because he loved it. They work well, it was definitely a better sight picture and I was more accurate with it than any other sks I've shot. They hold zero when removed and replaced (mine saw 2000 rounds or more). Accuracy probably depends on the individual sks. Takedown for cleaning requires more time (I'd keep them off your SHTF rifle if you are into that thing). I'd happily throw a set on another one for plinking (you should have a few of sks kicking around!).

I think if you've got a rifle that needs the front sight post adjusted way right or way left, tech sights are good because they are adjustable as well. I think if I got another rifle like that, it would definitely be the way to go. Never tried the 200s, but I think the 100s are more than sufficient in terms of adjustment.

So yeah, they are good to go... noting the above advantages and disadvantages to them. Depending on the individual shooter and specific rifle, one may outweigh the other.
