If you are not familiar with this sight line, go to www.tech-sights. c?m before trying to understand my thread!
Well, I received the TS front sight and exchanged it for the original. It gives a much thinner "post" making aiming more precise.
I must be very careful of what targets I shoot at because at 200 yds. the black post gets hidden in the sight picture.
I also bought the TS200 rear peep tool, for $5 US, IMHO, a rip off, which they should supply gratis with the sight.
While it is said that for the windage adustment, a bullet tip will work to depress the stud in order to adjust, not for this child. You need the tool. As for using the tool for elevation adjustments, its OK.
The above thoughts will be communicated to Tech Sights.
Now, how did I do at Danford Labour Day Monday
Not Good
I had removed the peep and action cover, then replaced, before shooting. I think that it went back in the correct position. But during the 70+- rounds that I fired on Monday, the Allen set screw which goes in the the left side to tighten the cross pin came loose. It' going to need something to keep it from shaking loose. As I has altered the elevation when I changed the front post sight, I needed a fair bit of adjusting the post and the peep. If the post is too low, the lower peep is obscured partially by the open sight base. Unfortunately, I left my spotting scope home as well as my collimator.
So, I did not better my initials groups that I reported earlier.
However, Monday was a lovely day to be out on a range with louthepou, his bros and a friend.
