After much shooting of my M-29 .44 mag revolvers are starting to get some minor play in stocks back and forth. Its not the pins as grips are nice and tight side to side but back and forth play, likely due to the wood shrinking a hair due to age. Been scouting the internet for easy solutions and would like any suggestions from anyone that has rectified said problem on these or other wood grip big bore revolvers.

Check the escutcheons, over tightening the stock screw can crack the stock/s. The screw wants to pull the escutcheon thru the stock.
