Tell air rifle

Hi I have this 22 cal air rifle . The only name is Tell and a s/n 528. The butt stock has had a repair but it cocks and fires well. Any knowledge of this gun out there. Value etc Thanks

That break barrel air rifle in .177 looks like it's in decent shape. The name "Tell" is a trademark manufactured by Venuswaffenwerk in Zella Mehlis, Germany. The company ended operations in the late fifties. According to the Blue Book of Airguns, Tenth Edition, it is the "Militia Model". A near perfect specimen is valued by the Blue Book at $450. Of course it may have such value to collectors only.

Thanks grauhanen The caliber is not .177 as the pellet falls thru the barrel. The 22 is quite tight . Is there a .20 cal ?

There is a .20 cal pellet, but it seems strange that a 1950's rifle would be that size. The most common was .177 and .22.
