In the next 2 months I plan on purchasing a Docter Optic Red Dot sight to go onto one of my projects. Shortly after that I plan on buying the TA-31 DOC.
-With the Sight, what kind of battery life can be expected?
-I've seen the mention of the 7MOA and 3MOA dots, and also a "Military" model. Is the "Military" one and the same, or is it a completely different, and if different, what are the differences?
-Is there a special base/mount to mount one on the Larue J-Point/Docter Optic mounting Ring? (http:// stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=39)

Thanks in advance guys!

We change out the batteries on our range gun about once every year. It gets used every day.
Military model is the same but it has a rubber gasket on the base and the emitter is protected by a small crystal.
If you have the mounting ring, the optic is attached directly to it.

Rob there is no need to buy a Dr Optic and then a TA31 DOC. The TA31 DOC is a TA31 ACOG with a Dr Optic already mounted to it. If you plan on buying them seperatly you can buy the Dr Optic then any ACOG and mount the Dr to it.

Thanks Phil, I know that. The only "lone" Docter will be going on the Larue ring on my current AR project.
The ACOG is for the next one, and for it's price it better have the red dot already on it:)
